The database is the heart of WordPress, but is it a scary place to go only for people with pocket protectors? Can show a few simple useful things one can do via a web database interface like phpMyAdmin to do things like count comments in a time span, close posts to comments generate a quick lists of posts, maybe more.

Good idea Alan – there is also an SQL command for bulk deleting a bunch of spam that is awaiting moderation.
